The Nourishment
Botanical Oils
Cold-pressed plant lipids that restore suppleness and a lit-from-within glow.
What it is
In plain language
Botanical oils — argan, rosehip, jojoba, squalane and others — are cold-pressed lipids rich in essential fatty acids, vitamin E and plant sterols. They mimic the skin's own sebum and reinforce the lipid barrier.
The science
How it actually works
These oils share fatty acid profiles compatible with the skin's stratum corneum. Squalane mirrors human squalene. Rosehip is rich in linoleic acid and trans-retinoic acid precursors. Jojoba is technically a wax ester, identical in structure to human sebum — making it uniquely non-comedogenic.
